[ it's pretty clear that whoever's putting out this video has little to no idea of what they're doing - not only is it being shot upside down, but it's framed pretty badly, with only one red eye and a few locks of blue hair visible against the familiar backdrop of New Bark Town.

Though it's hard to make out her expression, her one visible eye is a little narrowed and when she starts talking, her voice is understandably nervous. ]

Uh... H--hey... Is this some kinda messed up prank? Mitsuru-san, Akihiko-san, Aigis - or whoever's watchin' this - w--well, it ain't funny, yeah?! I dunno where I am! I ain't never heard of New Bark Town an' I never heard a' no Pokémon either!

And-- an' all this--!

[ she jerks the camera down to point it at her body, revealing the slight build of a high school girl, still dressed in her summer uniform. ]

I don't even wanna know how you did it but-- but just quit it, alright?! [ her voice wavers a little and she sounds almost like she's close to tears. ] Just stop it! It ain't funny at all!

[ there's a little bleat from off camera and then an exceptionally fluffy Mareep wanders into the shot at the girl's feet. She sniffs a little and when she speaks up again, her voice is a little calmer and gentler. ]

Oh -- s'you again. What are you, anyway? Some kinda--?

[ and that's when either her finger slips or something and the video abruptly cuts off. ]

[ she's quiet for a moment as she mulls this over. ]

What about the bento the lady gave me? Y'think I should feed it that?

[ she pauses, fidgeting a little before deciding to plough on. ]

Y'mind if I ask ya somethin'? I'm just wonderin' if there's a chance my friends turned up before I did. Ya seen or heard someone called Mitsuru Kirijo around?

Travellin', huh...

[ while being stuck here doesn't exactly sound like a barrel of laughs, the idea of being able to explore -- to go wherever she wants without being boxed in -- that's certainly appealing in a way she can't quite articulate. ]

S'that what everyone does? Travels?

S'what it's startin' ta sound like. Unless this really is just a huge prank an' you're all just playin' along.

Me? I'm in Goldenrod--handful of towns away from where you probably are now. But it's a big city, tough to miss.

Maybe even longer than that. No one really knows the specifics, other than that people have gone back home and then came back here and things were exactly the same as they left them.

But, yeah, I was lucky. My sister came about three months ago or so, and I missed her terribly...but hey, you could be lucky, too, and someone you know could pop up! You never know, right?

[You're making her all sad now, Labrys. Making her remember how she hasn't seen Fran in months....]

Mitsuru Kirijo? [She runs the name over her tongue, frowning at it.]

I-I'm sorry, but I don't think I have.

[He nods slightly.]

Yes, that's correct. We...haven't really been able to figure out why people show up here the way they do. They just do, sometimes.

[Very regularly, too, as if it weren't strange enough.]

[ levi just shrugs, then, albeit slightly. ]

I don't know. If you're not going to eat it yourself, fine.

...but it's not on me if it gets sick. I mean, they eat berries and shit too, but I'm not an expert.

Ah-- a big city? S'good, I guess... I was kinda thinkin' the whole place was gonna be like--

[ she makes a sweeping gesture with her arm but that's probably a little hard to tell with the terrible framing of the video. ]

-- this. Just a buncha tiny little villages.

A lot of 'em are pretty small--I think Goldenrod and Celadon are the biggest cities, maybe. I hear Saffron's nothin tiny, either.

Huh.

[ well, that makes more sense than there apparently being something super special about her that was noteworthy enough to get her dragged here but. ]

Do people ever go home? Or are we stuck once we turn up here?

[ so it's probably a good job he brought up that possibility before she started stuffing the poor sheep full of bento. ]

S'a sheep though, right? So, leaves an' grass... berries... should be enough for it, y'think?

Oh, no. People go home too. There is no way of telling exactly when that might happen, though.

[People seem to go just as often as they come some times, and then others no one leaves at all. The fact that you could wake up one morning and one of your friends could be gone is one of the more unnerving things, at least in his opinion.]

Ah. Right.

How about Akihiko Sanada? Or Ken Amada?

[ she'll keep asking, but she has a feeling that she already knows what the answer is going to be. ]

I-I'm not sure. I've never heard of those names before.

[She honestly can't say that they might have been here or not. She never was a people person, so things like that would have gone past her undetected.]

They're your friends, right? I think if they were here, they could've heard your video and replied. So, then....

Ah, I wouldn't say dangerous, really. The Pokemon can be troublesome, but the time that I did have traveling by foot was really nice compared to when I was traveling back home. You just need to keep alert for those encounters, and if you leave your Pokemon out of the ball they'll usually pick up on anything coming and defend you from it.

--oh, but don't eat any of the berries you find on the road! Most of the stuff that isn't grown specifically for humans around here has some nasty side-effects. I made that mistake my first night on the road, and my stomach did not like me for it.

What kinda stuff's there to do? 'part from fightin' or whatever it is everyone does with their critters.

[ then she suddenly looks a bit embarrassed and looks away, scratching her cheek. ]

... uh. Sorry. I'm probably askin' a whole lotta dumb questions.

... s'kinda scary. Like, what if you settled down, got married, or somethin' -- an' then ya wake up the next day and find 'em gone. Or y'wake up back home and you've got no way of gettin' back.

[ that's probably the thing that sounds scariest out of everything she's heard so far.

There's that human cliche, isn't there, that you never know when you're going to die so you should live every day like it's your last -- and she supposes that this really isn't that much different. You just get even less warning this time around. ]

... yeah. Figured as much. Guess I was hopin' they'd just missed it or somethin'.

[ stuck all on her own in the middle of a completely different world with nothing but a bunch of travel gear and a fluffy sheep that collects static to her name. isn't that just her luck. ]

Guess I gotta make the best of it and hope either they turn up, or I get ta go home.

So, I gotta pack my own food for travellin' -- well, once I get somewhere with food, I guess. I still got the lunch that lady made.

[ ... oh yeah that's right, she'll probably have to eat now. ]

What about the Pokemon? Do I gotta feed it anythin' special, or...? It looks like a sheep, so do I just let it graze like a sheep does or what?

...I'm sorry. [Veronica, what are you apologizing for.] I can't be much more help then that. I haven't seen anyone from my home here either. We're supposed to make the best of it, I suppose.

Don't worry about it--I've been here a long time, so I'm kinda used to people showin' up asking questions.

As for what else...well, I work at a breeding center that takes care of eggs and stuff like that.
