[ it's pretty clear that whoever's putting out this video has little to no idea of what they're doing - not only is it being shot upside down, but it's framed pretty badly, with only one red eye and a few locks of blue hair visible against the familiar backdrop of New Bark Town.
Though it's hard to make out her expression, her one visible eye is a little narrowed and when she starts talking, her voice is understandably nervous. ]
Uh... H--hey... Is this some kinda messed up prank? Mitsuru-san, Akihiko-san, Aigis - or whoever's watchin' this - w--well, it ain't funny, yeah?! I dunno where I am! I ain't never heard of New Bark Town an' I never heard a' no Pokémon either!
And-- an' all this--!
[ she jerks the camera down to point it at her body, revealing the slight build of a high school girl, still dressed in her summer uniform. ]
I don't even wanna know how you did it but-- but just quit it, alright?! [ her voice wavers a little and she sounds almost like she's close to tears. ] Just stop it! It ain't funny at all!
[ there's a little bleat from off camera and then an exceptionally fluffy Mareep wanders into the shot at the girl's feet. She sniffs a little and when she speaks up again, her voice is a little calmer and gentler. ]
Oh -- s'you again. What are you, anyway? Some kinda--?
[ and that's when either her finger slips or something and the video abruptly cuts off. ]

[Says the soft voice on the other side of the Gear, hoping that maybe a gentle tone and some calm words will help ease her anxiety.]
But where you are is safe, don't worry. As...a lot of people have already told you, you aren't the only one who has shown up here suddenly like this.
[Most if not everyone arrives in a rather confused, sometimes alarmed state, his own self notwithstanding. How well they end up taking it in the long term remains to be seen.]
If you have any more questions, I can try to help answer them for you.
video
[ the other alternative -- that she's been shoved back into the TV World and she's running around inside someone else's head -- is just a little bit too scary for her to consider right now. ]
S'this how it happens for everybody? They just wake up here without any idea of how they actually got here?
video
Yes, that's correct. We...haven't really been able to figure out why people show up here the way they do. They just do, sometimes.
[Very regularly, too, as if it weren't strange enough.]
video
[ well, that makes more sense than there apparently being something super special about her that was noteworthy enough to get her dragged here but. ]
Do people ever go home? Or are we stuck once we turn up here?
video
[People seem to go just as often as they come some times, and then others no one leaves at all. The fact that you could wake up one morning and one of your friends could be gone is one of the more unnerving things, at least in his opinion.]
video
[ that's probably the thing that sounds scariest out of everything she's heard so far.
There's that human cliche, isn't there, that you never know when you're going to die so you should live every day like it's your last -- and she supposes that this really isn't that much different. You just get even less warning this time around. ]
video
It is a...very strange way to live, I agree. But...even so, you have to try not to let that stop you from living how you might normally would. For some people this is a strange place away from home...and for others it's more of a home than what they had before was.
video
Guess it don't hurt that y'get money and a friend the second you wake up here. I figure that sweetens the deal a little.
video
[As if to punctuate that, a Leavanny leans into view behind Chihiro and gives a small wave, some blue yarn twined around one of her leaf-claws.]
Ah...I'm sorry. I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Chihiro Fujisaki.
video
Super glad she ended up with a cute little sheep rn. ]
Oh, uh-- y-yeah, that's-- I'm Labrys. Nice to meetcha.
... Even though it's in a place like this.
video
You too.
Um...so is there anything else you think you might be unsure about about this place?
[He's sure there's a lot, but Labrys probably would prefer to take it slow anyway.]
video
Uh-- well, yeah. I got some money here but... that's gonna run out eventually, yeah?
And I'm gonna need money t'buy stuff. So I was wonderin' -- what stuff can I do to get some more money? I ain't really got any experience, but...
video
I am a breeder, and if I needed extra money I can sell the eggs I breed for a profit.
[Of course, thanks to Togami's moneycats, he doesn't have to do that.]
So it...really all depends on what you think you would feel most comfortable doing. Trainers can still breed, but they will not find as many eggs as quickly as a breeder would.
video
[ she nods along. ]
I got a handbook an' an apron so I guess that's what I'm s'pposed ta be doin'. But I dunno how I'm actually gonna do it.
I need two of 'em, right? And I only got one. And I don't like the idea a' grabbin' one from the wild just t'make it drop out babies.
video
There's no rush. I didn't start breeding until after I was here for a few months...it does take some learning to get used to, after all.
